I was expecting a very busy time this weekend. I had two photo shoots planned, a portrait shoot on Saturday and an engagement shoot on Sunday. I was just driving past this field and the red houses in the distance really caught my eye, so I stopped at the side of the road and wandered over to the hedgerow to have a look. I really love layering elements, it’s something I’ve been concentrating on with my photography recently.

That first image is probably my favourite landscape that I’ve ever shot. It would be a perfect location for a couple of photos on a pre-wedding shoot. I love playing with depth of field on landscapes, it really puts things into perspective.

I’m trying something a little different with my post processing, on landscapes at least; it’s making me love black and white so much more.
The top two images were shot with my lensbaby tilt shift lens – I didn’t used to like this lens too much but it’s definitely starting to grow on me.

For some reason I’m posting things in reverse order at the moment. The previous post had images shot after this one and my next post includes images from a couple of weeks ago.

This is the last post in the Gozo series. We’re back in Malta after this one! I’m about half way through the Malta photos now, I’m working on some way of collecting them all together in order and organising them as a story…

Xlendi is a beautiful little village on the island of Gozo, we stopped here for some tasty sandwiches on our excursion. It was lunchtime when we arrived so it was unbelievably hot. I decided to venture out of the shade to get these photos, it was definitely worth it.
